PATCH Orientation Festivities Underway!

Erie Niagara AHEC Providers and Teens Communicating for Health (PATCH) Program for high school students has successfully launched its 2023-2024 program year! PATCH strives to bring youth voices into important adolescent health conversations while providing them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunity they need to be drivers of change in their community.

Twelve amazing, certified Teen Educators will participate in the PATCH Program, conduct trainings, and provide essential feedback to local community organizations regarding teen healthcare improvement.

Most excitingly, our PATCH Teen Educators will be hosting workshops for their peers and healthcare providers throughout the Buffalo community discussing various health topics such as health literacy, mental and sexual health, and SDOH. Since 2010, PATCH has been focused and steadfast in its commitment to improving adolescent health alongside and in true partnership with youth.

The PATCH program has educated and empowered countless youth and young adults in our community. We look forward to seeing what our amazing students will achieve this program year!
