Curious About Health Careers? Try a Virtual Job Shadow!

Erie Niagara AHEC is excited to announce that we are now offering Virtual Job Shadows for high school students and recent graduates!

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, it shut down and limited opportunities for students to shadow healthcare professionals and explore potential career opportunities. While the pandemic has lessened in severity, it is still difficult getting students, and specifically high school students into healthcare settings for shadowing opportunities.

To ensure students have the opportunity to explore healthcare careers, we are offering Virtual Job Shadow opportunities to up to 50 students per year. Students will explore healthcare careers from the comfort of their home through dynamic shadowing and life skills videos and activities. Additionally, students will learn important professional skills and build their resumes!

About the Platform:

VirtualJobShadow.com is an inclusive platform that serves every individual, regardless of their ability or background. It empowers individuals to discover, plan, and pursue the dreams through a video-based career planning site with interactive tools to develop their career paths. To learn more about the service, click here.

How to Sign Up:

Interested students can fill out the interest form here. An Erie Niagara AHEC staff member will follow-up with applicants within two weeks of form submission.
