Module 6 | Maternal and Reproductive Health |
Module 7 | Violence Prevention |
Erie Niagara AHEC is partnering with Erie County Department of Health and Kids Escaping Drugs to bring community partners into the conversation about pressing health issues in the City of Buffalo. Across four cohorts, 75 students will become ambassadors for their own health. Students will have the opportunity to learn and practice methods for improving their health and methods for disease prevention. Participants will also learn how to mentor other students to feel empowered in their own health journeys and ways they can spread awareness in their community!
Each week students participate in class discussions and complete hands-on learning activities. At the end of the school year, students will create and present a Public Service Announcement on one of the topics covered in class. We are excited for this opportunity to continue to collaborate with HSCS!
